Whether you’re coming from abroad, Canada or Quebec, or even from a neighbouring municipality, and regardless of your age, your profession or your status, if you come to settle in Saguenay or Fjord-du-Saguenay and need help to settle in permanently, the SANA is there for you!
THE SANA’S MISSION:
The Welcome Service for Newcomers Saguenay-Le-Fjord offers a unique entry point for newcomers wishing to settle in the Saguenay or Fjord-du-Saguenay regions. The SANA coordinates and connects you with all the services you need so you can settle into your new home.

The SANA is a true one-stop shop for newcomers, helping to direct them to the various local and ministerial organizations.
The SANA Saguenay-Le-Fjord team offers you personalized and comprehensive services to support your individual and/or collective procedures, both before and during your move, to:
- Prepare for your arrival.
- Ensure your welcome.
- Help you settle and integrate into the region.
- Support you in learning and using the French language.
- Help your future employer or your future educational institution prepare for your arrival with its customized services.
Support and practical information
Whether you’re in Saguenay or Fjord-du-Saguenay, you’ll have a contact person to help you through the process. They’ll be accompanied by a group of partners and resources who will work collaboratively to meet all of your needs.
The goal is to help you settle in and stay here. The support offered, warm welcome from locals, nature, urban life, culture, vibrancy, life balance, job opportunities and more are just some of the aspects that will make you want to stay here for a long time!
